Throwdown : Proposed Lyrics
"Wonderwall"
by : Oasis
by : Oasis
Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now
Back beat, the word is on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels
The way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
But I don't know how
Because maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day
But they'll never throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do
About you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me

Tonal Analysis
The song "We found Love "by Rihanna shifts the perspective of the meaning by using different types of tones such as optimistic and gloomy.
Rihanna is very optimistic throughout the song. She speaks of the love in her dark place that
she has found. . In the start of the song the music is very upbeat happy. Her
pitch gets higher while it doesn't completely change the direction of the song
to me it seems when the pitch is raised higher in a song it could mean more
importance not sad maybe a little happy. Sometimes it even means nervousness or
being scared.
When you talk your pitch changes due to what is going on
around you and what is happening when you talk. Just like in songs artists
express their emotions through voice; through singing. Just like when people
talk when artists' sings their voices also change depending on their emotion.
Rihanna repeats "We found love in a hopeless place" over and over.
Why out of all the phrases does she choose this one?
Throughout the song is also is very gloomy. Though it is a
happy song in between the lines if you read it is also a dark place. With no exception.
No love. It is hard to get out of a place where not one wants you. It is a dark
song despite its very upbeat melody.
It was important to repeat this verse because I believe this
song is about the pressures of being in a normal heterosexual relationship. It
speaks of the pain someone goes through trying to figure out that its ok to be
gay. "We found love in a hopeless place" means that in a time of pain
and darkness they found love. Many people today are confused on who they are what
they like who they love. When they find love in a place without love it is
happiness for them it bring them hope. This song shows the all those confused
people out there that there is hope you can find love no matter how dark your
world is.

Plagiarism in Song and Music
Plagiarism. In general it means the taking of someones work or idea. In music it can mean taking the lyrics or taking the same notes and rifts so the song melodies sound similar. Most of the time in music when people plagiarize they do not realize they are doing it because when they listen to certain music from their favorite artists people sometimes accidentally, subconsciously take the melody and incorporated it into their song .
The song "Brave" by Sara Bareilles is very similar to Katy Perry's " Roar". Many accused Katy for stealing the same melody as Sara's song "Brave". Many Sara fans were upset that Katy stole her music .In all reality though both Sara and Katy are very good friends . Sara even tweeted to her fans saying that she heard the song before it was released and she was very proud of her friend Katy.
Robin Thickes song " Blurred Lines " has plagiarized the melody of " Marvin Gates " Got to Give it Up ". Gaye's estate and family has sued Robin Thicke. The melodies are exactly the same. As well as the tone of it . Robin Thicke claims they sound completely different . Every artist always says that . This song wasn't the only one that Robin Thicke was accused of plagiarizing.

Dual Thesis For Boston and Pink Floyd
In " Rock n' Roll band" Boston talks about how life on the road is about being on all different stages and staying in different motels, the tone of the speaker and songwriter is very jovial, lyrical ,optimistic , and whimsical.
In " Have a Cigar", Pink Floyd talks about their mangers and how the managers do not give them freedom their fate is decided by their "owners " the mangers , the tone of the speaker is very didactic.
These songs are both very different .Boston is very happy song with hope and dreams. Pink Floyd a very depressing song about how Pink Floyd's managers control their every movement like a puppet on a string .

In the song"Young and Beautiful", by Lana Del Rey stresses the importance of loving someone for them because beauty fades,"Young and Beautiful " and "Will you still love me when i'm no longer beautiful" Lana tries to get the point across with a bountiful amount of alliteration, the second person point of view, and assonance.

In the song “Young and Beautiful” , imagery is used . This imagery shows that if love is real then you will love them when they “are no longer young and beautiful”. Love is not about looks it is also about the emotional aspect like Lana Del Rey portrays in this song. Lana says that "he is my sun,he makes me shine like diamonds " in this quote it says that he is her world he makes her shine , just like a diamond would in the sun .
This song uses alliteration to emphasize how love is important and looks are not . She through out the song says “i know you will “ as if she is trying to convince herself that he will still love her when shes no longer beautiful . She knows that most men will not love her when she is no longer young and beautiful .
Throughout the son Lana talks about how he is the perfect man. He is the one that every women wants. She then jumps into talking about religion how she does not want to loose her perfect man,"When he comes tell me that you'll let him in".
